New ride! Getting out of Jacskon Hole is so pleasant on the bicycle path. It does have a few steep but short climbs – but after regaining my breath I can enjoy the sights again. Hoback Junction is 12 miles down the route and a perfect gas station stop. Today’s ride is along the Snake river – downstream – but into the strong wind. On my right side are cliffs or bushes – on my left side the Snake river. I take a short break at the greatest viewpoint: here you cannot only see the roaring Snake (yes – roaring this year) but also the rafts! And I get so excited seeing them and hearing them scream! It sounds like awesome fun and I think: “one day! It’s going to be me in the raft”.
The headwind is a bit of a bummer and I bend my head over my handlebars, a grin on my face and I push myself down. Alpine is a small town, but I’m staying in the Nordic Inn and have this cute little cabin! It will do for me!
