Last night I watched the news on TV and they were talking about a robbery which had taken place next door at the K-Mart – in the afternoon. Guess what I did yesterday afternoon…yes, shopping in K-Mart! I was very surprised to hear this. But…my surprise was even bigger when I saw the front-page of the newspaper this morning – I could not believe my eyes!
As I read the article I noticed the time of the robbery and I knew it couldn’t be me! But there is a very vague resemblance!
The idea today was to connect with my family at 2 pm. In the morning I walked over with a big box to another hotel I will stay at when I’ll be cycling into St. George. The hotel manager allowed me to leave my bags at the front desk, giving me the ability to move freely without having to carry everything. At around 1.30pm I went outside to sit in the shade, had a talk with a bus driver and watched the cars driving over Bluff Street. I t became 2pm and even 2.45pm but no one came to the hotel… I decided to leave my shady spot under the tree and to go back to the hotel to check my cell phone.
Technology is a wonderful thing! The arrival was postponed. One of the ladies from the hotel pitied me so much she gave me an apple! At last around 6.30pm I could hug my relatives. After eating half of a monstrous pizza in the Pizza Hut across the street we hopped in the CAR (!) and drove to Springdale – a town at the base of Zion National Park. One car caught my attention and made me smile!
yeah!!!! what a nice car!!! I'm sure you took that picture for me :-D
